Comments

In a moment of brilliance, I posted some comments on the Styrofoamkitty weblog.
The post was about men liking women being aloof. My thoughts in regards to male/female relationships were so good, I felt the need to share here.
Guys hate that aloof stuff. It’s way too complicated.
Guys like straight forward stuff without a lot of middle ground.
For example, all things in life can be categorized into one of two realms. Either something sucks, or it rules. There is no in between.
To put it in relationship terms, the guy wants to know if you want to date him or don’t. This aloof stuff is way too confusing for our tiny brains.

  1. One good turn deserves another:
See, the thing is, straightforward always ends in a tussle under the sheets, and then that’s the end of the road. You gotta admit: for guys, once you bed the straightforward girl, you’re not really interested in hanging out with her past that unless it’s just a sex thing.
and, like… y’know. That’s fun for a while, but maybe one day it would be nice to hang out with somebody outside of a fuck-n-run type situation. Y’hear me? *sigh*

  2. I dont’ entirely agree. I think alot of men are intrigued by “the hunt”. Sure, if you walk up to a guy and start the conversation with “Fuck me please” he is going to profess to have love at first site, but where do you go from there?
I dont’ think you should lay all your cards out at one time. Everyone loves a little mystery, a little challenge. You appreciate what you work for, more than what you are handed. At least in my experience.

  3. My brother is way off on this… Life is filled with stuff that falls between “sucky” and “totally rules, dude”… Especially when it comes to women…
I don’t mind a little mystery in a woman, and being direct doesn’t just have to be sexual bluntness… The only thing I can’t stand is women who are utterly unreadable and poker-faced. I don’t need to know a woman’s entire gameplan, but I want to know that I’m at least on the field of play… I don’t need guarantees or complete disclosure, but its important to know I’m not driving down a dead-end street…

  4. You’ll have to excuse my brother. He is currently single and therefore is attempting to appear caring and understanding to women’s points of view.
Since I am married and freed from the need to appear understanding to women, I can speak the truth about men’s true ogre-like minds.
