How to make beef jerky
Made some beef jerky today.
Used my dad’s recipe for the the marinade. It’s the flavor I grew up with.
1 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
Took about five hours in the pellet smoker.

How to make taco seasoning
Taco Seasoning for ~two pounds of meat
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon dried oregano

I usually carry a small pocket knife along with my usual gear, my wallet, phone, keys, and handkerchief. My keys have a small Swiss Army knife, but it’s not great for things like cutting down boxes or zip ties.
There’s a gigantic world of high end knives, but mine are good, basic tools, not status symbols.
