UPDATE: This post was an April Fool’s Day joke. Settle down.
I declared victory and made a decision. After asking many people about how to best do this video capture/DVD burning thing, decided to go for what they suggested.
Yep, I bought a Mac. The 12″ powerbook with Superdrive. From everything I can tell, the Mac still has an edge on doing this sort of thing.
Everyone that I know says the Mac is best for this kinda work, and for once I should listen to what everyone is telling me.
We could use the second laptop anyways for all the travel Michele and I do and it will be simple for the kids to to use.
This has got to be a joke… You?! Mike Pusateri?! With a Mac?! I’m waiting for the April Fools… In the unlikely event that I am wrong, WELCOME TO THE MAC WORLD! 🙂
Wow, now it’s my turn to be jealous… You get an Airport card for that puppy?
I bought an Apple iMac (one of the 15 inch flat screen lamp-types) for my wife a year ago and she loves it. It’s got the DVD superdrive and I’ve been using it to edit baby videos. She uses it for photos and writing papers for her work.
I still want to get a Powermac with a 23inch cinema screen someday, but my addiction to playing video games mandated directing my purchase this year to an Intel platform.
Maybe next year!
Not buying it.
Dude… You know thats UNIX in there, right?
finally, e slow conversion to loving the mac. trust me it won’t stop there. you’ll just have to take back your mockery of the 12″ and the whole microwave torture thing.
Hmmmm….
April… First…
Ohhhh he got me. Ahhh it burns, it burns… 😛
Hooked ’em.
Right. This is from the same person who put the very same computer into a freaking microwave, took a picture and thought it was funny.
But you know something? I have only had two fail DVD burns on my Mac in the year and a bit I’ve been making DVDs, so if you are really going to do this, then welcome to the world where stuff just works. And the 12″ is a great choice. But I still don’t buy it, good April Fools.
Some folks you just can’t reach…. 😀
