Browsing around my blogroll, I see even my wife has updated.
She mocks my current plans to rip our CD library and calls me a ‘data hog’.
Martin posts our recent evening out with the Gen[M]ay crew.
The blogging.la peeps are in a bit of a spat with the LA.com people. IMHO, LA.com looks like any other generic portal on the web. I mean really, do we need a “Who is LA’s hottest entertainment reporter?”. I think not.
Sonny Parlin who’s new blog I discussed a bit ago, has got a kick ass design going. I dig how he did his Top Picks section. I don’t know if it’s Sonny or his wife, Kara, who did the design, but it is the roxxor.
Matt says that Best Western hotels are all going to provide free wifi. I have an new favorite hotel.
Lastly, here’s some scoopage for you low carb folks. During the Superbowl, Coca Cola will reveal their new low carb version. Using Splenda (aka Sucralose), Coca Cola Ultra will have 12 grams of carbs and 45 calories.
You read it here first…
ugh, this spat is SO STUPID.
Give me a break. This is Coca Cola Atkins. I’ll be so glad when this fad is over. Pass the bread basket and give me an extra serving of spaghetti.
12 grams of carbs is like half your daily allotment under Atkins.
This soda is for folks that want to feel like they’re dieting even though they’re not.
Sort of like Michelob Ultra.
I’ll keep on drinking Diet Coke.
Coke With Splenda?
Cruft has the scoop on Coke’s new product which will debut during the Super Bowl. It’s called Coke Ultra and has 45 calories and 12 grams of carbs. It is able to do this because it uses that Splenda stuff instead of sugar. I love Coke. However, I alway…

What the hell happened with just plain ol’ coke or diet coke? Low carbs coke? I don’t know man, this whole Atkins thing is getting out of control.
It makes me nauseous just looking at the label.
Atkins coke?
Ok now… Michael over at Cruftbox has the scoop on the new Coke to debut during the Super Bowl… Coke Ultra with 45 calories and 12 grams of carbs. Yes, Atkins Coke. Is it just me or is this Atkins insanity is getting out of control? Here’s another “…
AHHHHHHH… NOT SPLENDA!! Please beware of splenda my blogging friends. It’s marketed as the best thing under the sun but the limited lab tests that were conducted (I think about 16-25) it produced some NASTY side effects in lab animals (e.g. miscarriages, low fetal birth weight, organ failure).
I myself only found this out after drinking 2 bottles of Fruit2O (sweetened with Splenda)each day for a couple weeks and then one day feeling as if I was having a heart attack and losing feeling in my left arm. I’m only 28, so this isn’t normal. I immediately threw out the one I was drinking and haven’t touched the stuff since. Coincidentally, I also haven’t had that chest pain again 🙂
Kara, I still say the chest pain was in your head. (Just kidding honey…) 😉
Michael, thanks for the props!
Hey! update my listing on your blogroll! It’s now just http://www.roxet.net, the /weblog is deprecated.

Michael at Cruftbox.com gave props to Sonny’s new site design and gave us a preview of low-carb Coke, which is sweetened with Splenda. (I’ll post some info about Splenda soon.) If you go to his site, be sure to check…
My opinion i think it is a great idea for people who has a medbolical disorter called Phenalkalurha (PKU) I have had PKU ever sense i was born, and I cannot have protiens “Phenallane” which is in Nutrasweet wich meens I cannot drink any Diet Drinks with Aspartime in it. Also I was diagnosted with Juvinal Diabetes when I was 13 which meens I cannot even drink regular soda’s I think being able to drink a low carb diet coke would be totaly great especially for some one who love’s coke but cannot drink it very often with out consaquences.
Well This is my opinion, just please dont think they are catoring to people on Akin’s Diet. This will allow millions of people who has PKU out there to drink diet drinks. I hope they continue to produce drinks with Splenda for my sakes so that there are more varity of drinks I can have.
i also have pku(phenylketonuria)and think it would be really nice to be able to drink a “diet” drink. other artificial sweeteners contain phenylalinine which is very harmful to a phenalketonuric person. i welcome this with open arms. to me its an awnser to prayer.
