Is there anything more wonderful than a fast food place to begin selling tacos?
No, it is the most wonderful thing.

The tacos are the greatest, and I know dozens of transplanted New Yorkers here in Northern Virginia who are going ape over them. Just like good ol’ Jack in the Box….but, sadly, they’ve been discontinued permanently at all Burger Kings around here. Everyone I know is boycotting BK and I can’t believe they got rid of the best fast food out there. Is anyone else having this problem???
I live in Owensboro, Ky (transplanted from Houston) where I loved Jack in the Box tacos…..BK was selling them here for awhile and I loved them. All the sudden, I’m standing in line (Jan 20, 2003) to order my tacos to find out they’ve stopped selling them. What’s up BK????? These where great…….
UGHHH I can’t believe that you crazy freaks LIKE those tacos? You must have never had a real one if you could even finish eating one of those. You should read about my experience, it’s a lot more realistic.
Burger King has discontinued the tacos. : – ( I heard they took too long to prepare and they were working on something else. The were just like Jack’s tacos and I too was crushed when I ordered them and they said they weren’t making them anymore. Had I known, I would have stocked up!!!
I was VERY sad when they stopped selling them…. Let’s all write BK… I base my family vacations on where Jack in the Box is… Really I do…hehehe

IM OVER THE ROAD TRUCK DRIVER. I WAS IN FLORIDA A FEW MONTHS AGO AND DECIDED TO STOP AT BURGER KING AND TRY THE NEW TACOS I HAD HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT.I GOT TWO TACOS AND WENT BACK OUT TO MY TRUCK TO EAT.TIME I GOT TO THE TRUCK THE STORE WAS CLOSED. I SAT IN THE SLEEPER AND OPENED THE TACOS AND TO MY SUPRISE THE TACOS LOOKED NASTY THEY HAD TAKEN A HAMBURGER PATTY CUT IT IN HALF AND PLACED IT INTO THE SHELL WITH CHEESE LETTUCE AND SOME KIND OF SAUSE PUT INTO A MICROWAVE AND HEATED IT UP. I ATE BECAUSE IT WAS LATE AND THEY HAD ALREADY CLOSED. BIG MISTAKE I GOT SO SICK AND STILL GET A SICK FEELING EVERTIME I PASS A BURGER KING. I AM SO GLAD THEY STOPPED SELLING THEM BUT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BRING MYSELF TO EVEN TURN AROUND IN A BURGER KING PARKING LOT LET ALONE GO IN AND EAT.
I LIVE IN PENNSYLVANIA. WHY DID YOU STOP SELLING THE TACOS?????? FINALLY AFTER YEARS OF NO MORE JACK IN THE BOX FOUND TACOS THAT ARE VERY MUCH LIKE THEIRS AND I JUST LOVE THEM AND SO DOES MY DAUGHTER. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK; GUESS I’LL HAVE TO GO BACK TO MCDONALDS BECAUSE THE TACOS ARE WHY I WENT TO BURGER KING
1.) You live in So. Cal.
2.) The Mexican cuisine here is better than in Mexico.
3.) You are eating tacos at Burger King.
4.) Stop.
5.) Reconsider.
They are still selling tacos here in the Chicagoland area and we love them. I have tried to find the recipe online to no avail. I will check the library next. Anyone know the recipe for that “meat paste”?
Still looking for Jack’s Tacos but can’t find them. I did however find this recipe but haven’t tried it yet:
Jack in the Box Tacos
1 Pound Ground beef
1/3 Cup Refried beans
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Chili powder
1/4 Cup Ortega Taco Sauce — Mild
12 Each Soft corn tortillas
3 Cups Cooking oil
6 Slices American cheese (each cut in half)
1 Head Lettuce — chopped fine
Slowly brown the beef over low heat, using a wooden spoon to chop
and stir the meat, keeping it very fine and smooth. When the beef is
brown drain the fat. Add the refried beans and use the wooden spoon
to smash the whole beans into the mixture creating a smooth texture.
Add the salt, Chili powder, and Taco Sauce to the mixture.
Remove from the heat.
In another skillet heat 1/4 inch of oil until hot. Test with a
small piece of tortilla – it should bubble when dropped into the oil.
Spread 1/2 of the beef mixture on the center of each corn tortilla.
Fold the tortillas over and press so that the beef fillng acts as an
adhesive and holds the sides together.
Drop each taco into the pan of hot oil and fry on both sides until
crispy. When cooked, remove the tacos from the oil and place them on a
rack or some paper towels until they are a little cooler.
Pry open slightly and add 1/2 slice American cheese and some lettuce.
Top with additional Taco Sauce to taste.

Hey,
Is there anyone out there that can still order tacos at Burger King?
Kris :-)~
Brownstown,Michigan
yeah i get burger king tacos all the time i love them!
No burger king stopped selling tacos in MASS. also. What a shame. I had to go to Las Vegas to get some from jack in the box. – What a shame!!!
Jack in the Box tacos do have a unique texture and flavor that some can’t appreciate. To me, it’s also a wonderful memory of when my mother would take me, my 2 brothers and sister out as children once a week to the local Jack in the Box restaurant here in Michigan. Burger King had my business (sometimes up to 6 times a week) when they began selling their tacos. Now I don’t even go there once a month. Even if my wife and children did not like the wonderful delicacy as often as I did, we ate at Burger King alot. Since they have discontinued selling the tacos, I have been trying to locate another way to satisfy the craving. The “copy cat” recipies just aren’t the same and I can’t seem to find a frozen equivalent. I write the corporate offices of Jack in the Box at least once a year to find out if they will ever reopen here in Michigan. If I were Burger King, I would sell the tacos just to keep the competition out. Until then, I will have to keep planning vacations where Jack is.
Yer all nasty I work at a BK and spit in every taco i made, this is done at most BK’s around the country and has become a custom for all cooks. If you ever ate at my BK, then its like we kissed cus you tasted my spit, so if your a slut then thats cool but like if your guy thats not cool cause im not into dudes ya homos.
I just had the BK tacos for lunch I was a little grossed out at first, but my friend had me try them. I thought they were great. I am having trouble finding the nutritional info on them. I found one website that had the calories. (270)
Does any one know the fat & carbs in these tacos?
Noooooooooo!
So, I have a craving. I don’t have this craving often. But, when I do, I head out to Burger King for Tacos.
Yes… That’s right Tacos at Burger King. Not having Jack in the Box in the Chicago market, these tacos were a throwback to childhood. And…..
