Illegal Downloading

When I was in San Francisco I saw this billboard up in a mall.

I’m not sure how effective this kind of thing is, but the MPAA is spending money on it.
I wonder when we can stop trying to the sue the internet away and start making money on it instead.

  1. Now there’s a scary poster for ya.
not scarry enough to make anyone stop though.
I think it is a waste of money and wont be effective at all.

  2. Downloading is resourceful. Plus, why don’t we charge for every website we visit too?
How about charging to get a clipart for Microsoft Word.
Then it would make things equal!
    .retards.

  4. I have no problem with downloading the movie and music industry has been getting over on us for years now they get a taste of there own medicine they must remember without us there is no movie or music industry

  5. I think you should hit those “Major” downloading sites such as Kazaa, Morpheous, Lime wire, Bear share, I Mesh and all that other horse crap…
Someone better stop these sties, before they get so “Popular”, that no one can do anything about it. I understand this is a huge problem with teenagers more than adults but I strongly think you should have someone check out some of these sites…. If you have trouble finding each site, just go to http://WWW.download.com and shut them down, cause they do more than support illegal music downloading they offer so many office products aswell as a Key generator and some high office programs like WORD, and Photoshop… we need someone to do something!!!

  6. duuuuude! Downloading isn’t bad!! Look at hoobastank…millions of people downloaded their cd, but more bought it!!! It just gives us a chance to see if we like the music or video, and yeah, these people gotta think. They make us pay more because we download, we won’t have any money left to actually watch their movies and such. We are the customers, but they sue the blood of their business! Those idiot, eventually downloading will get too popular, and no one will be able to do anything about it. What’re they gonna do, sue half the world?

  7. They cant shut down Kazaa, nor Limewire, or anything else. Kazaa is made in a different country for one thing and does US law apply to a server running in a different country? No. So how to stop it? Cant. Never will. Take it in for what it is, its already so big that it Will Never Be Stopped. Who would want to stop it anyway? Free movies, games, music, software, etc. =)
