Doesn’t this kind of sound like the theme music to Star Trek Enterprise? Suspiciously similar feel to it.

While this is completely atrocious and painful, you must get his album entitled "Has Been" as it's simply brilliant. Ben Folds produced and sang on it as did a few other more noteworthy musicians, but all in all, it's a great album with momentum, lyrics, and story-telling. I know, you're laughing and thinking "why would I want to punish my ears?" but I said the same thing and it's now on my iPod.
